Description: The
Streamside Salamander ranges in size from 4-5.5 inches. Coloration
is gray to lead with white to silvery mottling. The Streamside
Salamander looks identical to the Smallmouth

two.
Habitat: Found in upland
forests near streams.
Behavior: The Streamside
Salamander breeds in streams with a limestone bedrock. Eggs are laid
singly. The Smallmouth Salamander breeds in temporary pools and
ditches, laying its eggs in clumps. |
