Seal Salamander

Description:  The Seal Salamander ranges in size from 3-5 inches.  Coloration is light brown with a net-like pattern on the back.  A light line runs from the eye to the jaw.  The tail is keeled near the tip.  Belly is light colored with dark speckling.

Habitat:  Found in moist areas near ravines, mountain streams and seeps.

Behavior:  A very active species during nocturnal periods.
