Description:  The Northern Redbelly Snake ranges in size from 7-12 inches.  Coloration is brown or gray with three lighter spots around the neck.  Belly is red with no other markings.  Scales are keeled and anal plate is divided.

Habitat:  Found in a variety of forested habitats.

Behavior:  The Northern Redbelly Snake is often secretive, found beneath cover such as rocks, logs, and forest debris.
