You’re not a member of the Daviess County Audubon Society!

>>>>> Why not? <<<<<

You’re missing lots of fun in the outdoors, dynamite programs about the world of nature, potential new friends who are environmentally concerned, our monthly newsletter, and field trips that are as good as summer camp.

We welcome people from a diverse range of interests in the natural world.

Please click on the membership application form link below:

Daviess County Audubon Society Membership Form (Microsoft Word document)

In the event of financial hardship, the Daviess County Audubon Society does not refuse membership to anyone regardless of ability to pay dues.  Anyone may simply write to Charles Morris at 2224 Fairview Drive in Owensboro, KY and ask to pay an amount annually that is a comfortable level of dues.  Your name or any item of your identity will not be made known to any officer, director, or other member.  You will receive the same member privileges as all the other members

In the event of philosophical objection to membership in the National Audubon Society….  It doesn't happen often, but a few times we have been asked to admit someone to our membership roles who wishes not to belong to the National Audubon Society.  Although we promote and support the programs and ideals of The National Audubon Society, we respect the diversity of our members.  You will be privileged to all membership benefits except membership in the National Audubon Society if that is your wish.  It is not necessary for you to state any reasons, simply send a check for $15 payable to The Daviess County Audubon Society and write "for local dues" upon the memo line of your check.

What do we do with your dues payments and donations?

65%    is spent for newsletter printing and postage, publicity, promotion of events

25%    goes for education.  We provide Audubon Adventures for 6 elementary classes.

5%      goes for food and supplies for meetings and events.

4.5 %  is paid to The Kentucky Audubon Council, a state organization that works to connect and support chapters across Kentucky, distribute a quarterly newsletter, and is a voice to state government for environmental concerns.

If you would like to make a donation in addition to annual dues, please make a separate check payable to The Daviess County Audubon Society and state any restricted use you wish on the memo line of your check.  Thank you for supporting Audubon.
